During the overnight hours, WGBX and the network stations were moved back to the upper antenna on the repaired transmission line and successfully brought up to full power. And WGBH was also returned to the lower antenna at full power.

As of about 4:55am this morning, all stations are operating normally.

We want to offer our sincere thanks again for the patience and understanding of all of our viewers who were affected by the October 22nd antenna failure. And if you continue to experience reception problems on WGBX or WGBH, please don’t hesitate to Contact Us.

  1. You have to give those tower workers tremendous credit for the job they do. I couldn’t do it that’s for sure.

On a side note Plex is offering a $39 discount on HDHomerun tuner to use with their Plex DVR software.

I continue to use the HDhomerun DVR on my WD My cloud NAS… The user interface has gotten better. So my recording engine is on the NAS, playback is via fire TV

I am also experimenting with Plex DVR… They can do better job in their instructions that’s for sure.

I am running Plex server out of Nvidia shield…. 3 streams concurrent with mp4 with that and no buffering, pixelation, etc. The Plex DVR works better with HDHomerun OTA tuners (connect, extend models) as Prime tuner couldn’t download program guide… Plex DVR saw that tuner but couldn’t handle the guide

When I test more will get you a more comprehensive update.

You have a Merry Christmas, Channuka, Happy Holidays, etc Len! Thanks for all your great work on this blog!
